This trail starts out pretty difficult as you ascend up through the trees. Once you clear the trees you are exposed for the majority of the hike. The trail is clearly marked and clear. As you get closer to the top you hug the ridge and it is difficult rocky hiking. The view up top are great down the valley, and from the ridge you can look down on to high alpine lakes Azure and Inkwell Lakes locked in a solid rock basin.
