Olderdalen

The Olderdalen Trail is a relaxing trip into a scenic valley. You can see across the Storfjord to the Lyngen Alps. The route is marked and easy to follow.
Start this trip at the cemetery car park. Follow the trail and ride over the duckboard. It’s well built and suitable for biking. Ride 1 km until the trail turns 90 degrees to the left. Just 50 m after this turn, take the wide trail to your right uphill. Continue about 150 m and turn right onto a narrower trail. If you end up at a hut you have gone too far. The trail is a bit steep for the next 300 m. After reaching to the highest point, you start a beautiful single trail that takes you around the valley. The part of the trail marked blue on the map contains some peat bumps and rocks that will make your ride more challenging.
If you want to complete a loop, continue straight ahead at the turf hut and after a while you will reach the same trail you came up. Alternatively, you can turn right at the hut and ride towards the playing field. The route back to the village follows a nice narrow and flowy forest road.
