Starting at Rettenbachalm mountain hut you take the Rettenbachalm Trail (675) first. Follow it for about 2 km until you reach a fork-off into Ollweite Line (6010). At its start the trail is quite level and broad, after a short track you bypass a huge boulder. Although this part is secured by a fence you should have a good head for heights. The central section becomes steeper and steeper, featuring two splendid S-bends which require excellent technical skills. The end of the route is much broader and less demanding. Ollweite Line is the final part of a future project that will link Rotkogljoch and Hühnersteign - it will be opened in the 2018 summer season.

You continue on the ski run for a bit, this stage takes you straight down to the access point of the OHN LINE (6007).

If you happen to ride in Sölden, the Ollweite Line is a must-ride. I would describe it as a flow trail with some minor technical features and I would rate it between red and blue, not suited for beginners, but intermediate riders will be able to do it. Given the height of the starting point and the length of the trail it can be quite demanding depending on your fitness level. But the trail rewards with magnificent views, since it's almost entirely above the tree line. If you are looking for a technical challenge, the trail will not satisfy you to that regard, though it will never be boring. And you can allways add some speed to make it more demanding!

Besides the view the highlights for me were the rocky sections with neatly alligned slate rocks. The trail can be combined directly with the Ohn Line or with a little - almost flat - transfer over to Hochsölden with the fantastic natural Leiterberg Trail or the Harise Trail.

You can use both the Gigijoch-Bahn or the Gaislachkogelbahn to transfer over to the Langeggbahn that will bring you to the start of the Ollweite Line.
