First 4.5km from carpark is nice and easily cyclable wide gravel landdrover track apart from a few steep loose corners near the beginning of the trail but don't let these put you off After that it's another roughly 3km up to the loch of pretty hard going, lots of big loose rocks make it very difficult to cycle up and down some of the sections.
At the start of the loch there is a small boat hut that you can shelter in from the elements.
