Motorbikes can only ride in Riverhead Forest at a sanctioned Waitemata Motorcycle ride. No riding at any other time.
Starts at the gravel road, fairly flat clay with gravel underneath to start, then turns into just clay and steep goes up or fast down.

Note: brutal climb.

 Gorse is pretty prevalent, some really muddy sections

 at the top there are a few logs hidden in the cutty grass, rode well down, probably the best conditions for trying to ride UP...

My wife cut back the gorse and toi toi today so that the trail is now passable.
