This is the easiest trail to get turned around on, as unlike most of the other descents, this is more of a route than one individual top-to-bottom run like a lot of the other trails here for Menagesha. The descent includes some steep tech up top, followed by an interesting tech trail that follows the contour along a thin pipe, then intersects a dirt road, which you descend on for a bit (there are also some sneaky singletracks connecting elsewhere). It then dives back into the dense forest for some undulations followed by a typical fast blast in the lower elevation forest.

Like all trails in Menagesha, there are too many intersections to keep track of. Follow the drainage down. Think like a cow heading down to market, and you'll probably stay on the right track. There are a few tricky turns though so use a GPS or MTB Trailforks mobile app and do not go straight down to the creeks; stay up in the drainage.

Access Info

This trail starts at the main dirt road (Menagesha Suba Forest Rd) just below Emperor Menelick's hunting lodge, above Camp 3. A new unsigned dirt road has been built that turns off of Menagesha-Suba Rd, and this is where the ride starts. It gives way to singletrack trail around the corner.
