The western side of the Rim Trail, offers a some new views. There are so many little buttes, not all of them have names. This trail is a bit more rocky and some wayfinding is sometimes necessary, as hikers like to explore around the rocks and venture out towards the edge. Once you get past the main point as you head north, the trail is easy to follow, and is a nice hike that eventually loops you back to the visitor center.

Along the way there are 2 distinct additional spur trails that you can take to more overlooks.

Beautiful trail through the juniper and rocks. Trail marked by cairns over rocky areas.
