Slaters road is a publically accessible forestry road, that is suitable for gravel riding and walking. Its legal status is that of a "public access easement", this road can be shut down for operational reasons by the land manager. A notice of these closures will be physically displayed on the road access points, however we advise contacting Tasman Pine (https://www.tasmanpine.co.nz/) to enquire if the easement is open before recreating. If you ride this road or contact Tasman Pine and find this easement closed, please take time to log a trail report here to reflect the status of the road
