Views in every direction and lots of great spots for catching your breath after the brutal hike a bike. Trail starts to ease up in steepness once you get into the proper trees and becomes more of a blue rating. Once you’ve hit the FSR, it still feels endless to get back down to the end point. After a brutal and exposed hike-a-bike, the first 1/3 the trail is steep, loose, exposed and jaggedly technical. The lower portion mellows out into enjoyable flowy riding through the forest, and is more of a blue-level trail. Once finished the trail proper, you still have a decent distance to cover over a combination of logging road and sanctioned trails. On our trip, the mosquitos were thirsty and the horseflies were tenacious. Recommend bringing bug spray, snacks and your patience! This was a one and done for me! | Dry | view | |

Even the sunny slopes have sections with snow and ice and the warm afternoons and freezing nights can create very damaging conditions if you don't time it right.
