Shorter version of the "The Elements" trail with a new line in the top section (before the tarmac) and slight alterations and additions throughout the rest of the trail.
This version deviates from the original line after approximately 100m from the start and rejoins it as you enter the oak tree section. Thus, this new section is in fact a new alternative line that does not overlap with the original version of the trail. Nonetheless, from the oak tree section to the end it follows the same line as the original trail.
This short version ends at the wooden bridge that crosses the river. Alternatively you can follow the original trail along the river to the bottom of the hill (See "The Elements" trail).
The trail starts right in front of the altitude landmark at the top of a rock formation.
After reaching the end and crossing the wooden bridge, you will find a dirt path (double track). Follow it to the left (along direction in which the river flows). Turn right at the first intersection and follow the trail. You will end up on the tarmac road near the small chapel (Valinhas)
