hike This is fun short and steep hike. Great views of oak creek canyon to the south and north plus San Francisco peaks to the north. The first 1/3 is wooded, then about 1/3 in direct sun followed by more a more wooded section and shade for the last section. Hike about 500 feet south of the West fork parking lot, cross the road at the address sign 10055 and you will see the trail sign. Shortly after starting the trail there is an intersection where you need to go left (notice rock cairn). Some trees were down across the trail. While there were hundreds of people hiking the west fork I saw no one on this trail. (FYI my trail log includes approx .9mile hike in along the road from where I had to park as the west fork lot was full AND I forgot to turn off the recording when I drove away so even more extra distance). Actual trail is approx 1.3 miles each way. Unknownview
