Upper Eds is fairly direct, and because of that there are quite a few straight up climbs and straight down shots, but the trail is mostly clean and smooth. If you are with kiddos though, it's still the best way between St. Edwards and Big Finn Hill, as Dagobah is a bit more technical with more roots, etc.
