From the intersection of Six Mile the trail goes up quickly (hike a bike - ~400m) and then a fun techy downhill to the mine. Once at the mine it turns into doubletrack and mellows out (flat) all the way to the gate. Once you cross the gate you are technically on rd 235B (Water Canyon offshoot)
