霞喀羅古道自從多處崩塌後，就不再適合全段騎車，從養老端進入，可騎成約8.5k至崩壁高繞處，只需健行800公尺即可抵達白石吊橋。此處路線簡易，但仍許多爛泥，需小心留意。進來健行人潮眾多，規劃週末前去，可能會有停車的問題，路線上也會有比較多健行者，請互相尊重禮讓。建因此處山區日照較少，較為陰暗，議過中午2點前離開白石吊橋折返。2.2k與8.8k兩個地方有水源。
