Voodoo is part of Allatoona Creek Park. It has many advanced features like rock and log crossings, a challenging creek crossing, short, steep climbs and some fast downhill areas. Riders should dismount if they are not comfortable with riding one of its many technical features.

You must ride Mumbo Jumbo to get to Voodoo’s trailhead. Voodoo connects into the even more technical Hocus Pocus trail.

The trail direction changes daily so check the trailhead sign. There are several emergency access crossings. When in doubt on which way to go, look for red diamonds mounted on trees to guide you.

Those on foot should travel in the opposite direction of cyclists, and are asked to yield to cyclists using the trails. The trail may close due to wet conditions. Please check mtbatlanta.com for the current trail status.

Note: Bow hunting season closes Voodoo from October 15 through December. It reopens Jan. 1.

On the "Sunday/Monday" direction, Clock-Wise, the trail is getting new sections/re-routes near the beginning of the loop. These are way more tight and twisty and slow technical parts than the rest. I am not a fan for putting it on the main loop. This type trail is great for alternate sections or off-shoot trails, but a little tedious for the main trail to have to do every time. There is no flow, cant keep your speed up, slow slow turns, close trees in turns. Again, great stuff for the technical trail, very perdu'ish trail build, but no option to bypass it. The rest of the trail is great. Fast techy sections with features. Near the lake is great off-camber rocky parts that are a fun challenge, and a deal-breaker for lesser skilled riders who will be walking. There are a couple of proper optional very techy sections you can take as an option. Lots of natural ramps and most all are rollable on the other side, but helps to know that when committing to hitting it.
Is not going to be the best trail for a hard-tail. Not a good trail for beginners unless you are wanting to get better and work on what you dont have....

Challenging but fun trail..if you like to work that is. Has some nice climbs and obstacles and other obstacles that make it a black diamond trail. I rode this on my 3rd ever ride and was yeet’ed over the handle bars and later snap my chain. Came back months later thinking I knew what i was doing only to once again be yeet’ed over the bars.

It really is a great trail, just take your time and don’t push past your limits or Voodoo will put the hoodoo on you.

Much easier than Hocus Pocus, in my opinion. Hats off to the trail builders for all the fun alternate lines and rock features. Rode for the first time today and it was great!

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
