Waterloo is approximately 1.9kms long, it starts on the main fire road the "Wombat Way", not far from the entrance to the Mongoose and Giant trails. It continues downhill through open eucalypt woodland following the eastern side of a gully. T. his gully has a semi permanent waterhole, hence the trail name. Waterloo crosses the gully a number of times before looping back to the western side of the gully and heading back up hill. There is a second entrance to Waterloo at the "Three Ways", this entrance also come off the "Wombat Way".
