Possibly the most technical ride in Fort Collins, Wathen is a rowdy descent with everything from technical rock sections, rock rolls, roots, tight corners and fast dirt. Wathen is best accessed by climbing the road up Southridge. This trail is technically bi-directional so keep an eye out for hikers as it's easy to get fast and rowdy going down Wathen.

Rode this on a dreary day so can’t speak to hiker, but I thought this was an awesome trail. Fast downhill that throws bits of tech at you that you just have to commit and trust the bike to work under you. If you’re an intermediate rider like me, this is a great trail to push you to the edge of your comfort zone. The fire road climb is dogshit awful but the downhill payoff is worth it
