Rode Wild Waves the morning after opening, and it immediately became one of my favorite trails. Everything at Raging was wet, and this fresh dirt was GREASY—but wow, what a ride!

Roughly three miles and 1,300 feet of descending, with countless fast, beautifully bermed turns. Even in slippery conditions, the flow was incredible. What really stands out is how the machine-built trail works WITH the landscape. It feels thoughtfully threaded through the terrain, with each turn setting you up for the next.

It’s a long way into the back of the trail system, but absolutely worth the effort. I suspect that distance will help it keep a little of that away-from-everything feeling, too.

Huge thanks to Evergreen and everyone who helped build this. I showed up carrying a rough workweek and came out grinning. Can’t wait to ride it again!

Such a fun trail!! Super flowy, feels like a water slide / roller coaster. Kudos to the trail builders and Evergreen for making this happen and completing the Raging River project!

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
