Racing is the heart of mountain bike culture. The racecourse is where the sport moves fastest, inspiring personal and technological progression. Emotions run high, dreams are realized, and legends are written. You’ll find proof at the UCI MTB World Series stop in Whistler, British Columbia, September 24-27, where series partner RockShox will be supporting the World Cup community throughout the week, from the athletes chasing podiums to the fans and riders who carry the passion of racing forward.

Wherever you’re following the action, celebrate Whistler’s legendary downhill course by riding your version of the Stevie Smith 1199 DH Track. To complete the The RockShox 1199 World Cup Challenge, ride at least 2.4 kilometers (1.5 miles) and descend 489 meters (1,605 feet) — the exact distance and elevation drop of the real track —across one or more recorded outdoor rides during September.

And if you’re in Whistler during World Cup week, stop by the RockShox booth in the Timing Flats at Creekside to talk all things DH and racing. You’ll also find the crew at athlete signings, BoXXer World Championships at Dusty's after Finals (Sunday, September 27), and cruising Creekside and Whistler Village on RockShox x Misspent Summers cargo bikes all week.

Challenge Rules
- You must complete 2.4 kilometers (1.5 miles) of riding and 489 meters (1,605 feet) of descent.
- All outdoor biking activities count toward the challenge goal.
- Each recorded activity must be at least five minutes in duration.
