The Indy Trail Collective (ITC) is the Indianapolis-area chapter of the Hoosier Mountain Bike Association (HMBA), a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to building, maintaining, and advocating for sustainable mountain bike trails across central Indiana. As one of HMBA's regional chapters, the Indy Trail Collective works in partnership with local parks, municipalities, land managers, and the wider riding community to create high-quality trail experiences while promoting responsible trail stewardship, volunteerism, and mountain bike advocacy. The chapter operates autonomously within HMBA, contributing to the statewide mission of Build. Ride. Share.
The Indy Trail Collective maintains and develops several of the Indianapolis region's premier mountain bike destinations, including Town Run Trail Park, Fort Harrison State Park (Fort Ben), and Southwestway Park. The chapter also oversees the continued expansion of the trail network at Overley-Worman Park in Zionsville, where volunteers are transforming the existing system into a larger regional riding destination with additional singletrack and trail improvements.
Beyond trail construction and maintenance, the Indy Trail Collective organizes regular volunteer trail work days, group rides, skills clinics, community events, and trail advocacy initiatives that help grow mountain biking throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Whether you're visiting for a ride, looking to volunteer, or interested in supporting local trails through HMBA membership, the Indy Trail Collective welcomes riders of all ages and abilities to help build and enjoy some of Indiana's best singletrack.
