Nicollet Bike Shop has been serving the Greater Mankato cycling since 1971. The shop got its name (previously Nicollet South Bike Shop) from its original rural location 3 miles south of the town of Nicollet, MN. Shop owners Justin and Jenna Rinehart moved the shop from it's rural location to downtown Mankato in the fall of 2011.

In March 2019, Nicollet Bike joined forces with Jon Andersen and Flying Penguin Outdoor Sports to become Nicollet Bike and Ski Shop. We are now your one stop shop for all of your cycling and skiing needs.

We live here; we love here and as a result Nicollet Bike and Ski is heavily involved in our local community. You can find us at events such as The Mankato River Ramble Ride, Pedal Past Poverty, Mount Kato Ski Events, Helmet Fairs and many other community events.

Nicollet Bike is also involved in sponsoring clubs, serving on boards. leading clinics and coaching programs such as Greater Mankato Bike and Walk Advocates, Mankato Area Mountain Bikers (MAMB), Mankato High School Mountain Bike Team, Mankato High School Ski Teams, GEARS program with the YWCA, Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, Maintenance clinics and many others.

I may be a little biased because I work with the owners and some of the shop employees building and maintaining our local trails. Having said that, these guys really live the sport; whether it be road or mountain biking. Multiple days per week group rides of one sort or another are leaving the shop. In the winter they do group trainer/spin sessions when not hosting fat bike snow rides. Their shop is full service with knowledgable mechanics and they are certified in bicycle fitting. IMBA members get a discount. The owners Justin and Jenna Rinehart are great advoquates for the sport serving on the board, digging trails and sponsoring the local mtn bike club [MAMB]. You can find Jenna standing atop the podium at most of the midwest mountain bike races. In short they are well deserving of your business.
