Service can't be beat. This is the only place I'll go in Oregon to have my bike tuned and serviced. No matter how inexperienced the rider or builder, they are always respectful and end up teaching with their answers. Also bought my Enduro there and they were great when helping pick out the right bike for the type of riding I like. Can't wait to buy a new DH rig from the farm!

The guys are always super helpful when I come in with clapped out wheels or a bent derailleur. Nearly every time I've gone in with my bike they've thrown it on the stand right away to assess the damage. More often than not they make the proper fixes right then and there saving me a lot of time and money. I've had to warranty a couple things and they've been great to facilitate the process. Their relationships are fantastic with some of the best suppliers out there so it helps when you're trying to get your stuff serviced. I haven't bought a bike from them but I do buy some parts, clothing and get quite a bit of service done here.

What I love most about FTF is that it's a mountain bike shop only, I'm not going in there talking about new flat pedals to a road biker, or what new front shock for the Ibis would be nice. And get a deer in the head lights look on what I'm asking. These guys know mountain bikes and have a great selection of bikes, parts and service.

While this place is a bit pricey, it's the only place in Oregon that really knows what's up with the MTB scene, especially downhill. The staff is super chill, and you can always tell that their main concern is getting your bike dialed, rather than raking in commission.

Fat Tire Farm has the most knowledgable mountain bike sales staff and mechanics in the NW. Anything you might need rebuilt on a mountain bike their staff rebuilds on a weekly basis. They have a fantastic showroom and inventory, but the number one thing you get at Fat Tire Farm is the collective decades of MTB knowledge on staff. Great shop, best in Portland by far, and the only true mountain bike shop.

FTF is a real mountain bike shop and I've been shopping there for over 15 years. They have many high end bikes and parts in stock and offer very good mechanical work. I wish I could say the customer service is good, but it's not. It use to be though. What I mean by that is the guys in front don't really have that much knowledge. I brought my bike in and was told that the part I wanted to replace couldn't and was a specialized (the company) item and nobody offered one. I knew what I wanted, and was going to pay them american dollars for it, and they said no. So I went somewhere else, paid much less money, got the part I wanted and got good customer service. Basically, below average customer service and high prices are the only things keeping me away from them. Otherwise, the best place in Portland by far.

Great shop, staff's on point! Patrick and KC(when he's in town) are my go to.
