For the record, OMBA is fully behind my new freeride trail at Fortune. So far it has 2 drops, 3 doubles, 6 berms (12 or 13 berms upon completion). El Presedente/OMBA has offered to pay for a pile of lumber (and I mean a lot) to help this new project. Ever wonder where all the money raised by bike movie fundraiser nights goes? They are definitely helping the DH/FR scene.
thanks for the info did not know that, is this a brand new trail for the 2014 season? or was it new for the 2013 season? And I ment more of local trails, but i heard their talking with the city for some freeride park or something, am I right? my post was more directed towards encouragement than blaming them or bashing.
Yeah no worries. I started Voodoo Child (new trail in question) at Fortune last July and was working on it on/off with the help of a few others until the end of the season. We even held a small trail day/bbq in August. I'm planning on a few dig days this spring too.
Also there is a Pumptrack/DJ/bike park proposal in the works right now with the city. From my understanding, the proposal was very well received and has a reasonable chance of happening. Hopefully shovels can hit the dirt this coming season.

It splits directly off No Name, so no hiking is required. I'll be up there digging as soon as the snow is gone, any help is more than welcome.
Since you ask, a couple friends and I have experience digging and building mountain bike trails(mostly DH/FR) and jump tracks. We have are own spot were we dig but we would defenetly like to help out at camp fortune. We also have are own gear, so no issue there.
Sweet. I'll most be up there in the evenings after work and a few weekends. I'll post up whenever there's a dig sesh.
