The Kapiti Mountain Bike Club is a newly founded club (200
formed by an enthusiatic group of cyclists who wish to see all forms of mountain biking grow in the region. The Kapiti Coast is a vibrant region that offers a wide variety of mountain biking terrains. The most notable of these is the Karapoti Classic loop.
The club's purpose over the next 5 years is to "make Kapiti a biking destination". We intend to achieve this by "building and promoting a vibrant mountain biking culture and community on the Kapiti Coast" which will cater to all riding styles and abilities.
The iconic “Red Tape” track was completed in 2017, and thousands of wheels have hit its slopes since. The club is now mobilizing to build another track.
