The Stokesville properties consisting of the 7 acre Lodge and the 137 acre Campground are an oasis on the East Coast featuring bicycle riding opportunities beyond your dreams. The Lodge and Campground comprises 143 acres with a private swimming hole on the fresh and crisp North River next to the Iron bridge. We are nestled up against the 1.2 million acre George Washington National Forest. Our family friendly flow trails adjoin over 500 miles of remote backcountry singletrack right out the back door.
We own and operate Shenandoah Mountain Touring in addition to the Stokesville Lodge. SMT pioneered the 100 mile epic rides on the east coast starting with the Shenandoah Mountain 100 and the Wilderness 101. From there we have created other epic backcounty events including the Dragon's Tale, the Stoopid 50, Iron Mountain 100K, Stokesville 60/40, Virginia's Rough Roubaix and the Stokesville Strade'.
In our roots prior to starting SMT in 1999 we got the $1 downhill going in Virginia which evolved info the 6-pack downhill and is one of the earliest forms of Enduro on the east coast in dating to 1992. In 1997 we started the Tour D Burg which became the first multi day enduro event to include road bike Enduro days on gravel and dirt with mountain bike Enduro days too. In 2012 after over a decade of exploring and clearing trail we finally completed the 450+ mile Virginia Mountain Bike Trail a linear rugged adventure running the length of Virginia's mountains to Tennessee.

This place is awesome, and the trails located near by are easily some of the best I have ever ridden. The entire community is very passionate about mountain biking as well as extremely friendly and helpful. Make Harrisonburg your next mtb destination and stay at the lodge, you will not be disappointed!
