Montana Enduro Series: 2025 Rendezvous Enduro
Race Details:

The Montana Enduro Series returns to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in 2025. This will be your final chance to win a new frame from Norco Bicycles. The rider scoring the most points across the series (in any category) takes home a new frame after this race

CHECK-IN:

The MES tents will be in the same spot as last year: under the Tram next to Tram Dock Restaurant.  You have two options for check-in:

Friday 8/29, 12:00pm -5:00pm
Saturday 8/30, 6:00am -7:00am

Planning ahead with check-in gets you a more relaxed morning before the race. YOU MUST CHECK IN BY 7:00 AM SATURDAY. At that time we will release unclaimed spots to waiting racers. We encourage checking in Friday to reduce crowding and wait times Saturday morning.

If you check in Friday and become unable to race Saturday, please return your timing chip to us as soon as possible.

TICKETING:

MES racers will receive a 50% discount for practice/inspection days. Please go to the ticket window to purchase tickets. Registered racers will be on a roster. These tickets will give access to both the bike park and the scheduled bike trams in the afternoon (see times below). A lift ticket is required to ride the tram; a bike park season pass will not get you on the tram.
Race day tickets are included with your registration. We will provide those with your racer packets. Please note racers who purchased a practice ticket will need to put on the new wristband for race day.

TRAM OPERATIONS:

Being able to load bikes onto the JH Tram is a highlight of our series. This special access has its own conditions; please adhere to these so that we can continue to provide this experience.

Bikes are only allowed on scheduled bike trams.
Bikes must be clean to load. There is a bike wash station outside JH Sports.
Load the tram by the steps between Tram Dock restaurant and the MES tent. Wait for tram staff to load you.
The tram access hiking trails. Thursday and Friday will be mixed use on Cirque, Hoback, and Wildflower trails. Hikers have right of way. Please ride courteously and with caution. These trails will be closed to the public on Saturday.
Racers will load the tram by class. Make sure you know your call-up time. There is no alternative way up the mountain.

CAMPING/PARKING:

Camping is not permitted in any parking lots on JHMR property. For practice and race day please park in the Ranch Lot. There are some limited camping options on either side of Teton Pass, or south of Wilson.

LODGING:

You can use the code ENDURO24 for 10% off lodging via Jackson Hole Resort Lodging.

https://www.jhrl.com/

THE COURSE:
will be announced on Wednesday, August 28. We recommend subscribing to the event page in Trailforks, which will update automatically when the route publishes. The event page also includes this information.

https://www.trailforks.com/event/15673/

TRAILFORKS:

There are a few ways to find the routes in the Trailforks app. The easiest way to find the route in the app is to open the Events tab when you arrive in Teton Village. It automatically loads nearby events, and the routes will be available there. Alternately, if you’re reading this on your phone, you can click this link:

The course will publish on this page on Wednesday, August 28th.

The link will open in the app and update the Teton Village riding area. If you’re reading this on a computer, you can click “Add to Wishlist” at the top right of the page (right above the map tile), and the route will be added to your account. Then inside the app, open Your Wishlist on the table of contents.

NOTE: Navigation is no longer paywalled in Trailforks, so you can use it to navigate the course regardless of subscription.

NAVIGATION:

If junction markings are damaged during the race day, you are still responsible for navigating the course, so it pays to familiarize yourself. To help with that, the route is published on Trailforks. The actual course you’ll compete is defined by course markings and the established trail tread. Actual start and finish points may be subject to change depending on requirements of MES or JHMR staff.

SAFETY:

Download the JH Insider app. If there is an emergency or injury the app has a button to directly call patrol while providing your exact coordinates. Otherwise, patrol can be called directly at (307) 690-6210. We will discuss further safety procedures during our mandatory racer meeting.

THE RULES:

Our rules are simple and intended to make sure everyone has a high-quality experience. We will cover rules and course-specific concerns during the racer meetings. The basic rules are:

Enduro format – timed stages are mostly downhill, and transfers are mostly climbs. Transfer stages are untimed, but don’t linger because we have a course closure time.
Helmets must be worn at all times when on the bike. This includes uphills/transfers.  Anyone riding without a helmet will be disqualified immediately.  Full-face helmets are recommended but not required.
The trail is the course. Whether or not a corner is taped, shortcutting the trail tread is a rule violation.
You must be able to hear an overtaking rider. No earbuds or external speakers are allowed.
Our complete rulebook is available on our website.
Volunteers will help us assess if we need to penalize any racers that aren’t following our series rules.  Keep it fun and throw out high fives all day!

TIMING SYSTEM:

We use the SPORTident Air contactless timing system.  This gives the best and most accurate results in our sport. You are responsible for following our procedures for checking in and heading out to the course. The timing chips must be switched on to collect time stamps. Crucially, they must be returned to the timing tent for scanning for you to have results.  If you lose your timing chip it will cost you $100 to collect backup timing results.  Keep the chip on the right-hand wrist outside of your clothing to ensure good time stamps. If you can’t race on Saturday, return the chip to us ASAP!

Volunteers will help us assess if we need to penalize any racers that aren’t following our series rules.  Keep it fun and throw out high fives all day!

RESULTS:

We will have the award ceremony around 4:00pm on Saturday, when all the results are in. Season overall awards will be held immediately afterwards. We have some great prizes this year, thanks to our awesome sponsors:

Norco Bicycles

Pit Viper Sunglasses

Deity Components

KÜHL

High Above Packs

Jambo Design Bike Racks

Wild Rye Apparel

Mons Royale Performance Apparel

The race results will be posted online the afternoon of the race at this link:

https://www.sportident.co.uk/results/MontanaBicycleGuild/2025/03RendezvousEnduro/

We will post a recap on Pinkbike with results and photos the following week. As always, you will be able to find a photo album for the race on the Montana Enduro Series Pinkbike profile. All of these links will be included on the Trailforks event page.

NEUTRAL SUPPORT:

Aurum Suspension will be onsite to provide neutral support for racers with mechanical issues. He will be located in the MES base area.

SWAG:

We have some great swag lined up for you this year. We will also have MES T-shirts, hoodies, and caps available for purchase. Cash, check, or Venmo are your payment options.

VOLUNTEERS:

If any of your traveling companions would like to volunteer out on course, we’d be happy for the help. Also, if you can’t race for some reason on Saturday, we’ll happily refund your registration fee in exchange for your volunteer service. True story: running an enduro race takes a lot of volunteers. Find us at the MES tent in the morning or email eric at montanaenduro.com.

We will keep this event page up-to-date with new information. We will release the course on Trailforks the Wednesday prior to the race. The links to the race results and any other media will be available on that page.
