Sterling Ditch Trail Day event

This month we will work from the Little Applegate Trailhead toward Tunnel Ridge TH. With the ridiculously warm weather we have been having we may see some early wildflowers. This will be an out and back hike totaling about four to five miles – depending upon how far we get Great views and a lovely hike.

Where: Meet at Buncom (corner of Sterling Creek Rd and Little Applegate Rd at 8:30 AM. We will carpool/caravan to the Little Applegate Trailhead.
What: Trail maintenance on the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail – cutting/digging out encroaching vegetation and some tread work as needed. We cancel only if heavy rain is forecast.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable hiking or work boots, dress in layers and bring gloves. Bring water and whatever special snacks you like. If you have them, please bring loppers, a pruning saw or a tread tool such as a Pulaski, grubber, rake or sturdy shovel.
