The Merritt Crown is a mostly self supported, mostly singletrack, mostly signed endurance race for dirtbag mountain bikers.
118 km. 3,322 meters. Only 12 hours.
The course joins the four major singletrack riding areas of the Nicole Valley: Coutlee Plateau, Iron Mountain, Lundbom, and Swakum Mountain. The course will be well marked but it is 120km and there may be sections that have less markings than others. It is mandatory that all racers have Trailforks on their phone with them and rely primarily on it for navigation.
Time limit: 12 hours (riders that won't make the cut to retire at end of Section 3 if over the 5pm deadline to avoid riders in the dark)
Start/finish line: Central Park, Merritt, British Columbia.
Cost Includes:
-1 admission to post-race BBQ incl. food and beer
-Camping
-A crown for all finishers
-Cash prize purse for the top riders
-Donation to MMBA for trail maintenance

Thank you Darch, James and the rest of the volunteers. It was a really fun event. Also nice to be able to look at Ride Reports and Leaderboards on Trailforks for the other racers, and filter for day of. Almost makes it an Enduro within an XCM
