Join in the beautiful East Gippsland village of Omeo at its brand-new MTB pump and skills track for the Omeo Pumptrack Shootout Race. The Rocky Trail team developed a revolutionary new chip-based pump track live timing set-up. Meet and race the pros, pick up some skills: they have got some of the biggest names on the national and international gravity circuit in Omeo.
Rub shoulders with and race World and National gravity and BMX Champions like Caroline Buchanan, Sian A’Hern and Jayce Cunning and a big line-up of local guns will put on a show for sure. Prize money pool of $3,500 is on offer for the top 16 male and female finalists.
This event also offers two skills sessions, which will kick off the day. There will be two sessions with 16 spots each.
Come for the racing (or the skills sessions, or the autographs) and stay for the mountain trails, the gourmet food, the horse riding, the whitewater rafting, the award-winning olive grove, the fishing, the historic holiday homes, And that’s just in the village.
This will be an awesome day out for everyone: free spectator entry. Be among the action all day and for the finals under lights.
This project received grant funding from the Australian Government.
