If your device has a compass you can enable 'compass mode' on the Trailforks map. This changes the map orientation from North at top, to the direction your phone is facing at top.
Press the locate button once, when the icon is toggled to black, your location is fetched and locked. Press the locate button a second time when this has happened to enable compass mode. The locate button will change to a dark green background to indicate the map is in compass mode.
To stop compass mode, click the locate button again.
If you want to mount your phone to bike handlebars to use as a bike computer. You can also enable an option in the Settings menu to always keep the phone screen on when using the Trailforks app.
