hike The hike was warm and the smoke from the Canadian forest fires reduced visibility significantly. The view was a bit underwhelming.
There are a few wet spots where little streams cross the trail, but hardly worth mentioning.
We saw a bear near the half-way point in the late afternoon. Glad I picked up a bottle of bear spray on my way to the trailhead. The bear took a step toward my dog and me as we passed by, 20 yards downhill from him. We just kept moving (spray in hand, ready to remove the safety tab) and he stopped. 		Idealview
