I hate to say it, but what garbage this trail has become. it was great years ago, but total and complete lack of proper trail care has washed it to the toilet. The big "hike-a-bike" climb is featured by water running from the very top to the very bottom of the trail with ZERO places to divert off the trail. Read it again, zero water bars, zero water diversion, zero knowledge of any sort of how to maintain a trail. This is a disaster. They do cut tress off the trail, but have zero trail knowledge, as is the case for most GA trails. This used to be a very cool techy trail, but now is just a washed out waste. I did not enjoy this and I used to ride it on a 26 inch 100mm travel bike with 2.1 tires. Now on 150 travel 29er with 2.4s it is worse. What a waste. I guess nobody live locally to do the maintenance so does not get done. I would skip this trail. Unknownview

20 inch trunk on trail about halfway will force dismount to lift bike over. Trunk at bottom can be ridden around with some skill. Thicket of branches can be ridden around towards bottom of trail. Tkx to girl at MG Adventure for Salsa and trail advice. 46:24. Dryview

3 inch vine on route can be cut with handsaw, and later the trail narrowed to about 1 foot but rideable, just don’t look down, dismounted for water on rock a couple of times but just cause I was riding alone. Dryview

I echo the poster from 9/23’s caution. The pine tree hanging down on the big descent going toward Shakerag is very low and will sneak up on you. Otherwise, there is one tree down on the trail and a few others hanging over, but nothing that you don’t have fair warning of. Unknownview

Tree hanging down over the trail in a fast section that could cause some serious harm. You will not have much time to stop if you are going fast through there an won't be able to dodge the limbs. Idealview
