There is an area, about a mile long just north of Schurchs tunnel that still has about 20 logs that can be easily stepped over. The 2 miles north of Champion Pass is clear as of 5 August. The middle area from Blizzard Hill to Schurchs Tunnel where most of it is clearings I don't think it has been cleared. | Variable | view | |||

We would easily have turned back, but our camping site and gear were transported to Thunderbolt TH and there was no bail out. We literally lifted our bikes over a hundred or more deadfallen trees. Some deadfall was so major that in order to get back on the trail, we had to go up above the trail or below the trail in dense trees and find our way back to the trail.
