Bluffside Park is home to some of the best single track mountain biking trails in the state. The wide variance in difficulty and trail type throughout the park makes it an ideal location for both beginners and experts alike. The Bluffside region holds miles of premier hiking trails, and picturesque lookouts over the valley. Exposed sandstone formations along the bluffs edge serve as exemplar samples of regional geologic structure.

Located at the lower trail head, behind Holzinger Lodge, The Lumberyard is an easily accessible winter playground, Winona’s answer to big mountain backcountry.

This area of Bluffside Park provides ideal terrain for snowboarding, skiing and snowshoeing all just a stones throw from the Holzinger Lodge parking lot. The switchback paths leading up the bluff side are perfect for winter hiking and snowshoe excursions under wintery conditions. Bluffside Park is Winona’s one stop winter recreation oasis.
