We anticipate our contractors beginning replacements and repairs in mid-July, we are awaiting on two significant funding applications that will allow this important work to start. The Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre(MDCC) staff have been working with funding partners to fully recapitalize the MDCC trail in time for our 20th Anniversary this fall. We truly appreciate all the messages and offers to assist our team in getting the trail back in shape, however we felt that a professional crew will be required to rebuild the boardwalks, stairways and railings. We also will be updating our signage program throughout the trail to provide our users with coordinates and clear directional arrows to those who aren’t familiar with the trail. We will update frequently on our Facebook Page on the progress and ask that folks remain off the trail and to let the contractors do this important work.
