The Hall Mountain Trail, part of a complex of trails that provide multiple ways to enjoy the Grassy Top and Hall Mountain Ridge, is one of the best day hikes near Sullivan Lake.

This trail system follows the Hall-Grassy Divide and mainly winds through timber with limited views, but there are open meadows close to the junction with the Grassy Top Trail #503. Some steep sections encountered along trail which connects with trails Hall Mountain Trail #540, Noisy Creek Trail #588, and Grassy Top Trail #503.

Trail users will experience spectacular views of the surrounding peaks in the Selkirk Mountains. They will have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife ranging from common whitetail deer to endangered woodland caribou and threatened grizzly bear. Other species of interest are bighorn sheep, moose, elk, mountain lion, black bear, gray wolf, bald eagle and other bird species.

Many mountain bikers and horseback riders combine trail systems for a good days ride.
