      Holla Trails consists of over 340kms of marked and signed trails and is continually being improved and added There are trails for both novice and experienced mountain bikers alike. Riders are amazed at the variety of track and spectacular scenery that is available. There is plenty of track for the newer riders and it will finally give many people who want to get into mountain biking the chance to get out without getting lost and risking trespassing. The sport of mtb has been given a huge boost by becoming more accessible to aspirant riders.

      We’re passionate about providing you with the tools to suit your adventure; be it for mountain bikers, trail runners or those who simply enjoy walking in the outdoors. Whether you are hard core racing snake looking for a tough 6 hour ride or just out for a walk in the country, choose your adventure at Holla Trails. We have something for everyone.


      Select a route displayed on the maps situated opposite the veranda / in the Routes section of Trailforks.com / in the Discover tab in the Trailforks App. Should you need help selecting a route you can chat to one of the staff members behind the counter at the Holla Trail Center. Follow your selected route from the start, each route is marked with a specific colour arrow. The distance displayed on the arrow indicates how far you still have to go to get back to the Trailhead.

      Remember that 44 farmers have generously allowed us the use of their land for our adventures, please ensure that you show respect to both the farmers and their workers. (Even better greet them and even thank them.) The trails go through working farms and all vehicles must be given right of way.

      The Routes
      Green: A flat beginner route with a small amounts of single track that is perfect for kids or an introduction to mountain biking.
      Blue: Intermediate Route. One level up from the Green route with more challenging climbs and a little bit more challenging single track.
      Silver: Intermediate One lever up from the Green route with more challenging single track and a bit more climbing.
      Purple: Intermediate route. if you are ready for the 30km routes, this route goes out with some challenging climbs but rewards with nice flowing single track on the way back.
      Pink: Intermediate to advanced. 30km with a nice mix of gentle climbs, single track that gets the adrenaline flowing and fast sections.
      Red: Advanced. If you are looking for more challenge then the pink route; Red offers more climbing and technical sections.
      Maroon: Advanced. Another level up from the red route with more technical single track.
      Yellow: Advanced. 50km of challenging climbs, single track and exceptional views
      Gold: Advanced. Tougher then yellow with the long and steep climb to “the mast” but great rewards with fantastic single track and views.
      Black: Advanced. The ultimate challenge. More of everything: going out climbing and the second half full of single track and views.

      Secure Parking and ablution facilities are available at the Holla Trail Center / Trail Shop.
      Disclaimer:
      Access to the trails is strictly with a valid Holla Permit only. This is critical to the sustainability of our trails system and everyone supports this principle. Register and read through our indemnity and code of conduct section while you are online. (This will save you time on the day.) Adventure can be risky, you need to know the details. On arrival at Holla, proceed to the permit sales counter at the Holla Trails shop. Tell them you have already registered online (they will have to check). Once you’ve paid, attach the permit to your bike (or arm in the case of runners and walkers) and make sure it is displayed at all times.
