The Antenna and Flagpole View trails are the pride and joy of the small village of Montrose, 7 km east of Trail BC. Originally built in the 1950's to access television towers, the trail has since grown and developed into a wonderful loop trail with spectacular views of the Beaver and Columbia Valleys. Both trails are filled with many idyllic moments, as it weaves through groves of aspen and mock orange and wildlife is abundant. The trails are a popular destination for local residents who appreciate the great workout it provides. And due to it low elevation and southern exposure it remains snow-free for much of the year. In fact, the trails are used year round.
