The trails are a mix of old horse trails and cross country ski trails. These can be combined into a number of loops comprising tight single track and open double track of varying distance and difficulty. There are several excellent swimming spots should you wish to take a dip in the summer. Pippy Park is relatively flat making it a great place to warm up to mountain biking and can be comfortably ridden by those new to the sport.
