The Pitztal (Valley of the river Pitze or Pitzbach) in the Tirol region in Austria is approximately 40 km long. On the south side the valley is blocked by high mountains such as the Mittagskofel and the Wildspitze that forms the border with Italy. On the north side the valley connects to the much wider Valley of the river Inn.
