Butter Me Up is now open and ready to ride for a regular bike however needs more work to be open to adaptive riders. There are two sections of trail where rootballs have ripped up the trailbed and left a space wide enough to ride through so repairs are needed. Jul 14, 2024 @ 8:16am Jul 14, 2024 | mtb I would only ride this up for two reasons: either you’re wanting to check out the new trail on the block or get out of the sun. This trail was definitely built with e-bikers in mind. The multidirection trail is efficient with funds but it’s hard to be the best of both worlds, and ends up doing a disservice to climbing and riding. It doesn’t connect to Spine directly so you do have to ride down the logging road to then regain that elevation. In my opinion, it’s better to bear the sun and ride the road with hopes of getting a shuttle. It at least gives you the ability to merge off at trails part way through rather than being fully committed to this climb. | Dry | view | ||

Nov 21, 2017 @ 9:44am Nov 21, 2017 | mtb I GPS'd Lower Butter and length down into Rosebery Provincial Park is actually 6.1 km. And it's an awesome 6.1km!!! A little bit of everything! Sweeping sections of single track, some steep downhill, lots of technical sections with rocks and roots, a few narrow bridges and a couple of shallow drops. Not for the beginner, but you don't need to be a master to have a hoot either. My wife and I rode it on hardtail Fatties and it was great. Highly recommend it! | Dry | view | ||
