SaveSospel is a mid-mountain town, 350 meters high. It is part of the Alps, by the Mediterranean Sea. It is 6km away from the Italian border.
Sospel offers a wide variety of trails due to its location: Alpine trails are found on the north facing higher grounds, rocky with small bushes trails onthe south facing mountains.
The town itself was built in the 5th century but lots of trails date from the Roman empire as it was a huge trading area. Thanks to the train, you can easily access different neighboring valleys and use Sospel as a base camp.
