Description:
Water issues not so prevalent due to the dry conditions this year. This is definitely an old school back country trail, especially the South Gorge Creek portion, which is really eroded and starting to be quite overgrown in parts. After Threepoint campground the trail is in significantly better condition. Rode the loop clockwise, which I think would be the preferred direction, as the downhill made it worth the slog through the braided roots and loose slopes coming up. Someone has taken a chainsaw to clear the large trees that were noted in the previous report.
