Description:
Track looking fantastic, quite technical uphill climbing requiring high concentration. A gold miner fell off the side of a steep drop yesterday going in from the Punakaiki end, fell about 5-6m. Smacked head and sore back, probably concussion. Had to be walked out. So be prepared for riding next to unforgiving spots, though DOC has done a great job of fencing the big ones.

a section of this trail is closed because of a land slip, it's being fixed now so should be open in about a week view
