Sep 16, 2022 Unhinged Trail Report

First time riding the trail. There was some leftover snow toward the top of the climbing trail and at the start of unhinged. Ground was quite wet as it hasn’t had time to dry out after the storm and snow cover. Track did get drier toward the bottom. Only one tree down and this is within 300m of the road at bottom. Easy to see before you get to it. Likely need a chainsaw to sort. Track doesn’t seem to have been ridden much lately judging by the lack of fresh marks. It’s a real loamer at the moment and the roots are just spicy enough that your not out of control all the time but it’s still a challenge. Definitely recommend this trail even if it’s slightly wet. Credit to the team who built the climb up. It’s as good as climbing tracks get.
