Description:
It needs traffic, but it totally works! There is pretty much no established trail, but carefully following the GPS route will get you there. West to East, it could be an amazing addition to the Edworthy network. The trail would need to be well worn in to work East to West.
Finding the west starting point is very easy - just follow the telephone poles. It is a little surreal riding beside Sarcee but totally safe. There is also potential for a tonne of garbage cleanup along the way. Possible CMBA project?
Once you drop away from Sarcee, the route finding is challenging. There is no established trail, but some considerate soul has cleared dead fall and lined it along the trail & across wrong turns. Brush crowding the trail has also been cleared in spots.
Kudos to the crazy fool who mapped this one out!
I don't know if all the CP police nonsense is still happening, but this route is for sure a viable alternative - just needs to get worn in. Not too long ago, a few East Lands faves were barely any better defined.
