I hiked past the saddle heading east on the Holt-Apache trail heading towards the junction with the South Fork of Whitewater. Getting to this intersection was easy. The treat is solid and easy to follow the entire way. There was minor pushing through brush. After the first 1/3 mile, there is almost nothing needing a crosscut. Just brushing is needed. There are sections with locusts but with thick pants, I was able to walk through unscathed. I was not able to find water in any of the springs on the maps on the ridge.
