Dear Trail Users,
Mosaic Forest Management wish to advise trail users that road construction activities of NLR47-34-27
shown above are scheduled to start in August 2024. Operations are expected to be underway for
approximately six weeks (weather dependent) and trails in this area will have closures. For your safety
please obey signage and avoid these areas during hours of operation which are 530am to 430pm weekdays.
Please do not enter active areas during hours of operation and stay clear of any industrial traffic.
At Mosaic safety is our highest priority. When any activities are taking place our employees and contractors
abide by strict safety rules. We expect trail users to abide by our safety rules and respect our worksite by
not entering any active or closed areas – please respect all signage.
The following information applies to this area:
• Our Professional foresters, field engineers and area planners have designed the area taking into
consideration safety, recreation, visual quality, wildlife and other values. The area is second growth.
• Trails in this area are unsanctioned and we have shared our plans with the NMBC (Nanaimo
Mountain Bike Club).
