Description:
The K&S trail has been cleared of blowdown EXCEPT for one tree just past Payne Creek which is still in place and has damaged the trail. A rootball has also caused chaos on the approach to Payne Creek ripping out a chunk of trail and disrupting the cribbing. This will need repairing and until that happens, I suggest you don't use this part of the trail. Payne Creek is the first Creek you encounter after the green doubletrack narrows to blue singletrack.
The switchbacks are clear and you can access Payne Bluffs this way from Three Forks. Be aware there is a large rock in the middle of the trail just before the Bluffs but you can easily navigate it until we move it!
Thanks to Brian Marsh for his clearing work on the K&S Trail!
