Description:
Ridden 6/13/2025: Although the trail has been converted back to a full-width fire road after the Altadena fire earlier this year and is fully open, there is significant damage to the newly graded trail after the nominal rains we have had since the fire. In several locations, erosion has been cutting into the regraded trail at few locations where runoff flows over the edge, with the biggest damage occurring just before the 2-mile mark from the JPL bridge. There the damage is so severe, the double track has been reduced to a singletrack after only few rainstorms. At this rate, the trail will fully wash out after the 2025/2026 rain season.
